Bread Flour Pizza Dough

 

 

Pizza dough prepared from active dry yeast and warm water combined with bread flour, olive oil, salt and white sugar. Dough allowed to double in volume before use.

Ingredients -
1 (.25 ounce) package Active Dry Yeast
1 cup Warm Water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 cups Bread Flour
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons White Sugar
 
Preparation:

1. Add yeast and warm water to small bowl.

2. Cover loosely and let stand 5 to 10 minutes, or per instructions.

3. In separate large bowl, combine bread flour, olive oil, salt, white sugar and the yeast mixture.

4. Stir with wooden spoon to combine.

5. Stir until stiff dough has formed.

6. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set at room temperature to rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes.

7. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

8. Turn dough out onto a well floured surface.

9. Press dough into a 12-14 inch round.

10. Top with sauce and toppings.

11. Bake in preheated oven until crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
