Garlic Chicken Pizza Bread

 

 

French Bread loaf halved lengthwise and brushed with mixture of olive oil and minced garlic. Oil topped with mixture of thinly sliced cooked chicken breast, thinly sliced onion, and barbecue sauce. Chicken mixture topped with shredded Muenster cheese. Pizza baked in hot oven until cheese has melted.

Ingredients -

1 (16 ounces) French Bread Loaf
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Minced Garlic Clove
2 cups Thinly Sliced Cooked Chicken
1 Medium White or Yellow Onion; thinly sliced, separated into rings
3/4 cups Barbecue Sauce
1-1/2 cups Shredded Muenster Cheese

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 375 degrees and preheat.

2. Combine the oil and garlic in a small bowl.

3. Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise.

4. Place on a baking sheet and brush with the garlic mixture.

5. Add the chicken, onion and barbeque sauce to a saucepan and cook until the onion is tender, which takes about 6 to 8 minutes.

6. Spoon the chicken mixture on top of the bread and sprinkle with cheese.

7. Bake until the cheese melts, which takes about 20 minutes.

8. Slice and serve.
