Mexican-Style Beef Pizza

 

 

Readymade pizza dough baked briefly to set. Crust topped salsa, with lean ground beef browned and seasoned with taco seasoning, Monterey Jack cheese and cheddar cheese. Pizza returned to ven to finsh baking and melt cheeses.

Ingredients -

2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
1 package Taco Seasoning
1 1/2 cup Thick-n-Chunky Style Salsa
1 can Refrigerated Pizza Crust
1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 425 degrees and preheat.

2. Unroll the pizza crust dough and press out onto a pizza pan into a thin crust.

3. Bake the crust until it begins to turn golden brown, which takes about 8 minutes.

4. Add the ground beef to a large skillet and brown until done.

5. Add the taco seasoning and mix well.

6. Spread the salsa out onto the baked crust then layer on the ground beef, Monterey Jack cheese and cheddar cheese.

7. Bake for another 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

8. Cut into wedges and serve.
