Semolina Pizza Dough

 

 

Pizza dough prepared from honey, warm water, active dry yeast, table salt, semolina flour and all-purpose flour. Kneaded dough is allowed to rise until double in volume, about 2 hours.

Ingredients -
1/4 teaspoon Granulated Sugar or 1 teaspoon Honey
2 packages Active Dry Yeast (2 tablespoons)
2-1/2 teaspoons Table Salt
2 cups Semolina Flour
2-1/3 to 2-2/3 cups All-Purpose Flour
 
Preparation:

1. Add sugar or honey to 2 cups warm water in large bowl. Stir to combine.

2. Add active dry yeast, cover bowl loosely, and let sit at room temperature 5 minutes or per instructions.

3. Stir in salt. Stir in flours gradually to make firm, soft dough ball.

4. Knead dough on flat, lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes or until dough is elastic. Add tiny bits of fresh flour as needed.

5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap.

6. Let rise for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, or until doubled.
