Thin Crust Pizza Dough From All-Purpose or Bread Flour

 

 

Homemade pizza dough prepared from active dry yeast, sugar, lukewarm water, unbleached all-purpose flour, and salt.

Ingredients -

1 envelope Dry Yeast
1/4 teaspoon Sugar
3/4 cup Lukewarm Water (105 F)
1-3/4 cups Unbleached All-Purpose Flour or Bread Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 500 degrees and preheat.

2. Lightly oil a pizza pan and set aside.

3. In a bowl, combine the sugar, yeast and water and let sit for 8 minutes.

4. Add the flours and ½ teaspoon salt to a food processor.

5. Add the yeast mixture.

6. Continue running until a ball forms.

7. Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface and knead for 2 minutes.

8. Roll out into a 12 inch circle and place on the prepared pizza pan.

9. Add the pizza sauce, desired toppings and cheese.

10. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and the cheese is melted.
