Tomato and Mozzarella Tortilla Pizzas

 

 

Flour tortillas topped with sautéed onion and green bell pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Tortilla pizzas are baked in hot oven to melt cheese and crisp tortillas. Quartered and served hot.

Ingredients -

1/2 cup Chopped Onion
1/2 cup Chopped Green Pepper
2 teaspoons Canola Oil
2 (6-inch) Flour Tortillas
1/4 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Medium Vine-Ripened Tomato, sliced
1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 400 degrees and preheat.

2. Sauté the onion and green pepper in a small skillet until tender.

3. Arrange the flour tortillas on a baking sheet.

4. Spread the onion mixture, garlic powder, oregano, sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on top.

5. Bake until the cheese is melted, which takes about 8 minutes.

6. Cut each into wedges then serve.
